Château de la petite Giraudière

Located in Gorges, in the village of Giraudières, the Château de la petite Giraudière is a family affair.

Joël and Françoise took over the estate in 1991, it is the 4th generation.

It was in 1995 that they abandoned the farm part and the sale of milk to devote themselves solely to the production of wine, with respect for nature and biodiversity, by promoting the HVE (High Environmental Value) label.

Their slogan: "life-size wines"

The estate covers 30 hectares in the town of Gorges.

Their production is very diversified, with a dozen grape varieties.

The range is vast with their Muscadets, Cru Gorges, dry white wines from France but also red wines, rosés, sparkling wines using the traditional method, including grape juice.

A little extra: a renovated cottage located in the middle of the vineyards can accommodate you and your friends if you wish to extend your stay in the vineyard.

The tasting cellar is open by appointment, with hours on Wednesdays, Friday evenings and Saturday mornings.

The estate exports its wines abroad and focuses mainly on local sales.

The estate received this year the Silver Medal for its Muscadet 2021 at the Paris competition and the favorite of the Hachette Wine Guide for its Cru Gorges 2014.
