Domaine du Vieux Puits

Located in Gorges, in the village of Simplerie, the Domaine du Vieux Puits is an intergenerational story. The Pabou family created this estate in 1928, today it is the 3rd generation of winegrowers.

By partnering with Denis in 2018, Marie-Laure brings a new breath of life by bringing together their skills and know-how from previous generations to develop their wine.

The estate extends over 28 hectares, mainly around the caveau à Gorges.

Annual production is between 15,000 and 20,000 bottles.

Their range of wines is rich and varied. Muscadet Sèvre et Maine sur lie takes pride of place, followed by Cru Gorges. The Domaine du Vieux Puits also offers red, rosé, sparkling white and rosé wines, chardonnay, a late harvest cuvée and grape juice.

The tasting cellar is open by appointment only.

An open house is organized the last weekend of November.

Special food/wine pairing evenings will very soon be offered at the estate with local food artisans. To be continued on Facebook and website.

The Domaine du Vieux Puits received the Bronze medal for its Muscadet 2021 in Paris 2022, the Gold medal in Nantes and the 1st prize for women / men at the Gorges competition. The municipal competition also distinguished the sparkling wine with a Gold medal.
